The Heritage we may lose

It seems that the economy of a city should expand at all costs, but building new roads, housing and industrial areas come with a cost, especially when heritage is lost. Amenity is lost for all, and not just those who live adjacent to development.

The scene at the head of this page is an autumnal image of the River Wye near Warham, only 30 minutes walk from Hereford city centre. A new road is planned that will include a high level bridge crossing over the river, and will cross above the trees in the centre of the image.
